G-Spire is seeking a Principal of Corporate Development to join our team. You will be leading our clients’ strategic growth and success by serving as a strategy and execution leader as clients advance their M&A growth strategy. Leading the project team, you will drive the execution of complex transactions and deliver valuable insights to our clients. We are looking for someone who thrives in a business development role, can lead M&A strategy, and most important, is execution-oriented.

Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Actively identify and participate in networking events, industry conferences and execute sound business development activity, proprietary and nonproprietary activity, to build the M&A pipeline on behalf of our clients.
- Relationship Management: Serve as the main point of contact for clients with a goal of ensuring clear communication, impeccable coordination, and maximum client satisfaction
- Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with clients, developing strong working relationships and providing exceptional service. Actively lead client meetings, presentations, and discussions, addressing any concerns and proactively providing value-added insights.
- Strategic Planning: Lead clients through a strategic planning process.
- Deal Analysis: Lead efforts of Senior Associate and other team members to analyze financial statements, perform valuation and modeling exercises, to assess the financial viability and impact of potential transactions. Provide insights and recommendations to clients.
- Due Diligence: Lead due diligence activities, including reviewing financial records, contracts, and legal documentation. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure thorough analysis and identification of risks and opportunities.
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research and industry analysis to identify potential acquisition targets, market trends, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities for clients. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing key findings.
- Project Management: Proactively manage multiple workstreams, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on time. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources, and communicate updates to key stakeholders.
- Knowledge Sharing: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes relevant to corporate development and mergers and acquisitions. Share knowledge and insights with colleagues, contributing to the continuous improvement of the firm’s capabilities.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience leading corporate development efforts, investment banking, private equity, or a related field, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
- Strong networking and business development skills
- Experience with financial analysis, including financial modeling, valuation techniques, and due diligence.
- Strong project management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and succinctly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Some travel required.
